Eric

Eric Miller is a Traffic and Public Involvement Specialist at De Vor Communications. His background of 24 years in law enforcement and as an emergency medical technician has gained him extensive experience engaging and communicating with people from different socioeconomic backgrounds.

Eric’s experience includes intense public outreach with various stakeholders, including individual citizens, community organizations and government officials. Additionally, with multiple management roles as the Director of Public Safety and Chief of Police, he worked on the planning and public information for local transportation projects.

Since 2015, Eric has been an instructor for the Wisconsin Traffic Incident Management Enhanced (TIME) course, teaching highway incident and work zone safety to hundreds of first responders, highway workers, tow operators, and many others. While working in law enforcement, Eric regularly attended the Southeast and Northeast Regional TIME meetings and the Milwaukee County Traffic Safety meetings.

Taking time to listen, understand, and identify solutions is a goal that is regularly met for Eric. He recognizes the importance of keeping stakeholders informed no matter their role or background.

This $131 million project was needed to address safety and access, poor roadway and bridge conditions, traffic in high-density areas, and to improve the transportability of local traffic and oversized-overweight vehicles (OSOW).
